On 5/18/2018 Dustin James Funk was arrested at Northside Cherokee Hospital, in Canton, after Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (CMANS) Agents learned that Funk had used a false name to receive treatment and pain medication prescriptions at the Northside Cherokee Emergency Room. Funk was initially arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Bartow County.
